Once Upon A Time, In A Far Away Land there lived a Princess who was all that was Good and Fair and Beautiful. . . . Okay, so the land actually kind of looked like San Francisco... And the Princess might have a little more, ah . . . equipment than one might expect to find under "her" gown. But, hey! This is YAOI-CON! And we wouldn't have it any other way! As you might have noticed, our lovely Mistresses take the stage in gorgeous costumes that appear to have a certain theme. Sometimes our wonderful Bishounen even get in on the act, and this year we want to let all our attendees in on the action. Some of you may have already guessed that this year, the Yaoi-Con Bishounen Auction is tackling the colorful, flamboyant, and age-old lands of our (perhaps slightly misbegotten) youth: Fairy Tales! So if you're feeling in the mood: dust off your wings, your wands, and your glass slippers. Then shimmy into those gowns, break out the glitter, and show your love for your favorite story while Yaoi-Con transports you to a magical world that can only exist behind closed doors! Just make sure you ask your Fairy Godmother for a little leeway on that Midnight curfew. . . . In a tradition now six years running, Yaoi-Con lets you explore your deep dark fantasies of being a Flea-Market entrepreneur at the Swap Meet while building up some funds for the shopping spree in the Dealer’s Room. Friends and family accidentally bought duplicate manga? Fell out of love with a series and want to make room for your new illicit love affair? Whatever the reason, bring in those old manga or doujinshi and get ready to haggle!But please, limit your offerings to new or used commercial items (imported doujinshi are also okay). *NOTE: Live pornography, anime/music/scanlations made into VCD/DVD/CD, photocopies of manga or doujinshi are not allowed to be sold. Yaoi-Con reserves the right to have our staff ask participants to remove items considered not suitable for sale at the Swap Meet. The Swap Meet time, location and cost per table will be announced closer to the con. |
