Bishounen Bingo - Bingo! A time honored tradition and staple of Yaoi-Con throughout our many years... And per our honorable tradition, not only will there be a multitude of stupendous prizes, but a multitude of scrumptious lads too! Where else can you play Bingo and have lovely male specimens stripping for your viewing pleasure? This is not your grandma's version of Bingo. Unless of course, your grandma attends Yaoi-Con. Which we totally encourage and support. ~.^ Bishounen Closing Raffle (aka Spanking Inferno!) - What better way to end our time together than with one last hurrah? Better known as the Blind Box Raffle. It's our signature way of ending the weekend, vying for prizes delivered right from the hands of the Bishounen you most adore! If you win, you get the opportunity to not only pick up a prize ranging from sweet to silly, but also to finish it all off by deciding what lasting impression your Bishounen is left of you. Will you leave him breathless with a scolding swat or happily sighing with a sweet hug? The choice is yours. Cosplay/Masquerade - Who doesn't love costumes? The makeup, the luxurious fabric, the wigs, the shoes...what's not to love? Come strut your stuff across our stage and take a turn at showing us your assets~ And tell you what, just because we like you, we'll make it more interesting... Let's make it a contest! We have reliable sources that say everything's better when you win it! Dance Your Pants Off! - OK, it's just a dance. Your pants coming off is not a requirement, and well, all depending, security might ask you to put your pants back on. But that shouldn't stop you from hitting the dance floor and showing off all those skillz you've acquired from watching So You Think You Can Dance! Opening/Closing Ceremonies - The names really speak for themselves. It's Yaoi-Con's chance to stand on principle (not Bishounen), to be honorable and thankful to our attendees, our guests, and our lovely volunteers. Don't be the last one to know things, ceremonies are important for a reason, so be present or you'll have to hear it through Facebook, or Twitter. Scavenger Hunt - "A hunting we will go, a hunting..." Err, it's not exactly that kind of hunting. But there is skill, and thought, and technology involved in this popular event that debuted last year. Our wily staff has been hard at work coming up with new, and yaoi-er tasks for this year's hunt. Some favorites will be back from last year, The Great Nutt Hunt for one, and just what does make for the best Yaoi-Con super hero? Collect a crew, properly sign up, and get that smart phone charged and primed for picture snapping! Swap Meet - While Yaoi-Con puts the finishing touches on our setup, we encourage you to bring in your gently used goods to make new friends and profit in our Swap Meet! But however tempting it may be, please limit your offerings to new or used commercial items (imported doujinshi are also okay). Although we understand that some people have been successful in bartering with Pocky and Ramune, cash is still king at this event. *Note: Live pornography, anime/music/scanlations made into VCD, DVD, or CD, and photocopies of manga or doujinshi aren't allowed. Yaoi-Con does reserve the right to have our Staff ask that items be removed if they're unsuitable for sale. The Ultimate Yaoi Fan Caption Contest - Whet your pre-con whistle with some captioning silliness! Every week starting Wednesday, August 29 we'll post a picture for Yaoi-con fans to caption -- the ultimate yaoi captioner will be awarded the title "The Ultimate Yaoi Fan 2012" at the con! |
