Yaoi-Con welcomes those guests who are sponsored by members (or are members themselves) of the manga, anime, game and related industries, both here in the U.S. and abroad! Stay tuned for information as guests are announced.

Lynn Flewelling

Lynn Flewelling is the author of the Nightrunner series, featuring gay/bi/whatever heroes Seregil and Alec; the gender-bending Tamír Triad; the odd short story or two; and articles on writing. Her work has been described variously as funny, sexy, disturbing, and rather dark. Shadows Return (June, '08) marks her return to the Nightrunner series, where she does more lovely mean and sexy things to her favorite boys. The fifth Nightrunner will be out in 2009.

"Slash," "yaoi," "bishonen," "manga," and "anime" were unknown territory until — a couple of Nightrunner books in — some of her readers began using those terms in relation to her work. Baffled, she checked them out. The universe imploded. But she recovered, and has since become a fan herself, which has certainly slowed down her writing output. Her Live Journal has also contributed to the tragic decline, but you are welcome to visit her there and at the Flewelling newsgroup at Yahoo, where she delights in torturing her fans with snippets of upcoming works and evasive answers to their questions. What can I say? She's just kinky like that.

Dark Prince

French artist M.A. Sambre exploded onto the global yaoi scene with her gorgeous illustrations in the Dark Prince series. The third and final volume of Dark Prince will debut at Yaoi-Con. Sambre will be available to autograph copies of her work in the Dealers' Room throughout Yaoi Con. Please make this first time visitor to the U.S. feel welcome.
