WELCOME VENDORS!

We have two options available inside the Yaoi-Con Dealers' Room: Dealer Booth and Fanbooth!
Read the information below for both. 

OPTIONS

Dealer Booth
Dealer Booths are defined as organizations or individuals who wish to purchase space in the Dealers' Room primarily for commercial and business trade. This would include any organization or individual selling/reselling doujinshi from Japan that is NOT their own, selling mass-produced merchandise, and/or other commercial purposes. Vendors purchasing a Dealer Booth MUST apply for and receive a State of California Seller's Permit. [ PDF ]
 

Fanbooths
Fanbooths are defined as groups that wish to get a space inside the Dealer's Room for promotional and light salespurposes rather than commercial trade.  Please note that we are now requiring Fanbooths to obtain a valid California temporary sellers permit for this event. [ PDF ]

DEALER'S INFORMATION

Dealer Tables
 

The Dealer's Room will be located in the Bay Bridge Ballroom and Cannery Room with total space for 52 tables. Floor layout will be finalized shortly and will be made available for booth selection on a first come, first served basis. Dealers registering before release of floor layout will get priority selection.

Table size is 6' x 36". Booth size is expected to be 6' x 6', including the table, table cloth and skirt, with 2 chairs and a wastebasket.

Fees:
$275 for first table/$250 for each additional table until June 30, 2008

$300 for first table/$275 for each additional table from July 1 until August 20, 2008

Tables are sold first come, first served. Limit four (4) per dealer.

Staff Membership
Two (2) free membership badges are included with each table reserved. No one will be allowed into the Dealers Room without a badge.
We ask that you provide names for all of your staff members in advance of the convention, but if any changes need to be made, they are done so prior to the convention (you will be asked to submit changes as the convention date draws near). If you bring additional staff, or have last minute changes, they must have a badge issued specifically for them. Any special arrangements are to be made with the approval of the Dealers' Liaison.

Yaoi-Con reserves the right to deny access to all convention areas any person or persons whose names appear on our banned individuals list.

Due to the nature of the convention, the members of the dealer staff must be 18 or older, whether or not they plan to attend other convention events.

Other

Upon receipt of Dealer's Application, a Dealer's Welcome Packet will be mailed to you, with a letter confirming receipt and acceptance of your application, as well as any additional information and forms.

Special Offer

As a special incentive, we are offering the following free ads for our 2008 Program Guide, for a limited time only (offer ends June 15, 2008):

Free business card size ad if 2 tables purchased,
1/4 page ad for 3 tables purchased
1/2 page ad for 4 tables purchased
 
Dealers will be responsible for providing own artwork.
 

If you would prefer to upgrade your complimentary program book ad, you may do so at the following rates:
From 1/8 (business card) ad to 1/4: $25
From 1/8 (business card) ad to 1/2: $75
From 1/8 (business card) ad to Full page: $175

From 1/4 page to 1/2: $50
From 1/4 page to Full page: $150

From 1/2 page to Full page: $100
 

Please fill out the Program Book Advertising Order Form and send it in along with applicable payment. Be certain to indicate on the form that you are a Dealer and would like to take advantage of the special offer.

Dealer's Room Operating Hours

Friday (September 26)
Pre-setup: 7:00pm to 11:00pm

Saturday (September 27)
Setup: 7:00am to 9:00*
Open Hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm
(Lunch Break: 1:00pm to 2:00pm)

* If a dealer does not appear by 8:30am, that dealer will be considered a "no-show" and the next person on the waiting list will be given the option to take the table.

Sunday (September 28)
Setup: 8:00am to 10:00am
Open Hours: 10:00am to 5:00pm
(Lunch Break: 1:00pm to 2:00pm)
