Web Travel Sites for Cheaper Airfare If it were us, we'd start with Qixo and search a broad range of sites on our preferred travel days — just to get an idea of general fares. Then we'd use Travelocity's Best Fare Finder or Expedia's Fare Calendar to see if juggling the schedule would do better. Finally, we'd visit the Priceline Bidding Forum to get an idea if Priceline would be worth the hassle. After that, we'd be so tired we'd have to take a doujinshi break! Main Street. 5th Avenue. Other times, you do it just to avoid all the uptown glamour on Main Street. Less well known travel sites: Lowestfare.com —Lots of good cheap tickets Discount travel agencies (take the same precautions you would with any unknown travel agency): [top] If you love the hunt, the haggling, and the melodrama of the open market, the following sites have tickets for auction. Try Priceline and Cheaptickets, the big names, before hitting the others. As with any auction, do your research first! Priceline.com —Their "you've got a X% chance of getting that flight, you might want to raise your prices" usually bumps you up close to the price you'd pay directly! [top] Some shoppers have to see every single store before they buy a single thing. There's something deliciously satisfying about knowing that you got the very lowest of the low fares. You can get miles for points from various credit card companies.
