Japan town (in San Fran-- a good reason to come a day or to before/after the actual con) and the market are good places to get new stuff (many in japanese) and there most likely will be forums with various publishers. Just a tip, keep a list of the books you have and the books you buy so you dont get doubles (this has happened to me twice)
