Anyone attending to Fanime or had been there?

I heard An cafe will be there. ^^

I've been there many many many times, and will be there this year. :]

Will you be going on all four days? I probably may go on Sat and Sun.

Any advice to a newbie? XD The only con I went to was yaoi con.

Hm. Well...

Goth Kitti's Fanime advice:

1: Check the dealers' room out, even if you don't buy anything. It's always got a few sights to see.

2: If you go into just one shown video at the entire con, let it be "ReDeath: The Revenge of the End of Evangelion" by Studio Sokodei. It's a fandub of Eva (I know the creators, as we went to High School together), and one of the weirdest/funniest things you'll ever see. Jubei Powers: Japanese Man of Intercourse and Fanboy Bebop are also quite good. Nescaflowne is also decent.

3: Check out the Hot Yaoi Nights! We have live Yaoi-con events at Fanime! :O

4: The dance at Fanime is also quite fun. This goes doubly if DJ Jinnai (the only successful DJ to do strictly Anime work that I know of) is spinning. I'll verify whether he is at some point before the con.

5: Wander! Fanime is a fairly big con. It's got a lot to see. It also has a lot of wonderful and interesting people to meet and, *cough* a pretty interesting nightlife. :3

I know yuri-con will be there so I'll wander around.

I heard it's huge and how's the food around there? Do you recommend me buying foods outside?

It's just like any other convention food. Expensive. It's not bad taste-wise, but it is horribly expensive. Thankfully there are dozens of restaurants around the convention center to eat at, so you have your pick.

Funny, the one time I got decent Con food at a decent price was Yaoi Con last year. Three bucks for a huge thing of nachos...that I can handle. ^^
