Hi! I am going to be buying my friends con badge at Fanime but the problem is she does not have a scanner and is not sure if she can make a copy of it and get it to me on time (I am going to be out of the country for a while before fanime)

I was wondering if she took a picture of it and i printer it out would that be ok? it would not be altered other then being enlarged from the photograph. I was wondering if this was ok or if we would have to find another way to get a copy.

No to the photo of your friend's ID. You can still pay for her registration by having her mail you a copy of her ID and forwarding the Submission Confirmation email to you. You write the check and mail it with the photocopy of the ID and a print out of the Submission Confirmation email. Voilą! She's registered and you paid.

<< Im guessing she hasn't really thought this through then. there are scaners in almost every school, be it elementary to college. Also they have them in kinkos, they have xrox machines there too, all business offices have copying machines, librarys do too and most smart, new aged people have fax machines, these can make copies too. I bet you if you ask a local business secratary nicely enough to make you a copy of something right quick, she would, that's how I always get things copied. (I got mine done at the VA center because my scaner doesn't work with vista.) the only guff I got was "What are you going to be using this copy for?" and that's cause they know me and I'm usually up to no good...(I.e. plotting to overthrow the government for my 100 a month disability check)

There's actually a Kinko's no more than... 3-4 blocks from Fanime where you could get all of that ready, if you're local to San Jose, just to give an idea.
