Dance Dance Revolution / In the Groove 2 Years, 5 Months ago
With DDR SuperNOVA coming out (finally, another new arcade DDR machine!), and In the Groove 2 still hitting arcades nationwide, what's your favorite DDR or In the Groove song? What's the hardest song you can play? Are you a Doubles (both sides of the pad) player? Have you ever played a Solo mix (6 pads instead of four) arcade machine? How many modifiers can you stack? Tell us about it here~!

As for me, I used to play a lot. I don't as much these days. I can beat some 11 difficulty songs on In the Groove (Utopia and Charlene on Expert), and I can beat one 10 foot difficulty song on Double in DDR, that song being Sakura (Heavy). I can also beat Max 300, Paranoia Survivor, and Maxx Unlimited on Single... which are also 10 foot songs. I can also stack 15 rankable modifiers on some In the Groove Expert songs.

Don't be shy... tell us about you! Can you freestyle? Do you play at home on a soft or hard pad? What got you in to dancing games? Have you lost any weight playing? Let us know~!

Awesome~! Can you beat Rhythm and Police on Maniac? That was one of my favorite songs that appeared on 5th Mix... along with Era (and every other TaQ song on that mix), B4U Glorious Style, Tribal Dance, Dancing All Alone, The Cube, Dub-I-Dub, Young Forever, and of course Sana. <3 Damn I miss having that mix around these days. ;_;

I play at home... On my girlfriend's DDR soft pad that she so graciously let me borrow.

I'm not terribly good. I can get A-AA's on most of the Light mode songs, but I can't do the next level or higher up. I don't really have that drive or desire to play at a higher level, though. I'm pretty happy being a peon xD.

My favorite song to do is Pink Rose n.n ...Is that from DDR Extreme? Oh bother... I'm too lazy to go downstairs and look... :oops:

The phrase "not terribly good" and "A-AA's" don't really belong together if you're referring to DDR. ^^ You obviously have some skill if you're that accurate! It's been forever since I stepped on a soft pad... they're really comfortable to play on. I've only played on arcade machines except at the occasional party, myself. It always feels weird playing in socks!

Pink Rose first appeared in a Keyboard Mania game, if I remember correctly... and it probably appeared in the game Star Ocean long before that as well. I love that song, as do some of my friends... and it always makes me think about how fun it was to play Star Ocean when I'm dancing to that song. DDR Extreme was the first DDR to have Pink Rose.

:oops: T_T But... But I can't even make it through an entire song on the next level higher...

But thank you very much for the compliments n.n

I listen to Pink Rose on my computer @.@ I dunno, it's just so... So catchy. I don't recommend singing along as your DDRing, though. It's exhausting >.>

*never played on anything but the softpad* How different is it to use a machine? @.@?
