Greetings, programs! ^^ Will-be 24-year-old female UW alumnus with a BA in Japanese literature that I'm trying to find something to do with, called by some Kat. (I'm sensing a theme. . . .) I, too, am a nerd. Example: in a few days time I will be making the pilgrimage to Dinosaur National Monument in Utah that I have been longing to make since I was a wee little thing. [insert tears of triumphant joy with crashing waves background here]

I've been a yaoi fan to some extent since my He-Man days in '85, '86 perhaps, just never knew what it was or that I wasn't alone until I found out Zoisite was a guy (typical story), so in some ways the prospect of doing Yaoi-con is like going home. (God, I am such a sap . . .) I also write some anime fanfiction, and anyone who's interested can check them out by hitting the www button.

This will be my first Y-con and only my fourth con ever [is sad], and with any luck my first cosplay. I'm usually rather shy, too (except karaoke makes me bouncy for some reason, though I found out sadly last night that about all I'm good at is Patsy Cline and "Blue Light Yokohama" ~__~ . . . but, yeah, if you want me out of my shell stick a mic and some enka in my face); but everyone posting here--professing to be shy, no less--has been so awesome, you guys feel like one big family, so we'll see.

Edit: Oh yeah. I'm dyeing my hair black for a month tonight (I just discovered temp dyes. nifty! ). I'll try to provide pictures as it tends to look pretty decent when black.

Also: I write/wrote fanfiction as well, but none of you will ever read that. I'll provide my 'normal' fiction upon request but you have to IM me first XD
