Yaoi-Con 2008 | A Celebration of Male Beauty & Passion in Anime & Manga

I'm not there YET...but...I WILL be moving to Utah, the salt lake city area some time in September. Are there any fans around that area that I should know about...probably not OO

Hee hee hee, better late than never, eh? Well, I'm here in SLC, but I don't know that you really needed to know that. Actually, I was surprised to see another Utahn (or soon to be) around the Yaoi-Con site. Surprised and oh-so-overjoyed! I wonder how many more of us there are around here...

I know of another yaoi fan ~~ But she's really young, only twelve...so i DOUBT we'll be see HER any time soon....other than that, I only know two other people who live in utah right now (Not yaoi fans) and they work for me...I wish there were more Yaoi fans in Utah, I'm almost afraid to go back cause i'm flamboyantly gay and i have a feeling most people over there will be...you know...homophobic... (Dad got stationed there while I was in the military)

Too bad about your one friend who is too young to join the con. That really sucks. I completely understand your hesitation to move to Utah, but I can assure that not all Utahns are homophobic. Some of us actually prefer the company of gays to that of the mo-mos. People like me! Then there are the people like my family who, when you say, "I have to find all my gay friends in books these days" look at you like you just sprouted a second head, even though they know/love your best friend who is gay and like a second son to them. Oh, well. What can you do? I look forward to hearing from more yaoi fans in Utah...if any more exist. And I wish you the best of luck in your future move ^_^

I used to have car fulles of teenage girls drive by whistling and hooting , shouting things like "NICE ASS HUNK!" And when they see my face they're like OH SHIT IT'S A GIRL! So SUE me! I like to keep in shape ~~ I'm NOT a guy! ~Dies in a see of her own tears~ And I'm not even a Dyke! (I just like cutting all my hair off from time to time)

Um...okay. I apologize if I offended you (was it me?). I must admit that I was under the impression you were a "flamboyantly gay" male. So sorry about that. It is an easy mistake over the Internet and all. Anyway, I still look forward to hearing more from you and anyone else out there... Hello?!? *taps computer screen* Anybody out there?
