Huzzahs! I am Atrius. . or Gwaihir. . I go by both. Anyhoo, my name's Chloe and I have been at the past three Y-cons and planning to go to this one. I don't really socialize with people at the cons too much, so no one knows me in person, but mostly online, because I am active on the forums and communities and stuff and therefore a NERD. XP
I'm not as into anime as I used to be, but since I love comic books I'm really into manga. I LOVE art and want to be a comic artist myself.
Meh. . one of these cons you may find me in the artist's alley selling my stuff. . as soon as I feel like my work is good enough and I HAVE enough of it.

QUOTE: I was actually thinking about starting one of these threads, but I suppose it's better that a Y-Con vet got the ball rolling. Maybe this should be stickied?
Great minds think alike.
QUOTE: My nickname's Mina, and you can call me that or one of my usernames (Miss Citrus and Pika Pika Queen are the two most common ones). I'm 18 years old, female, and currently reside about 30 minutes away from Seattle. This year will be my first Yaoi-Con, and I'm unbelievably excited. :D
I think that Mina is a very pretty nickname. I'd be more than happy to call you that if you prefer it, though I must admit that I'm curious about your name as well.
QUOTE: My hobbies are drawing, reading fanfiction and manga, writing (or entertaining the idea of it, anyway), watching anime and movies, web design, making costumes, playing video games, and singing/dancing terribly along with loud music. xD I also really enjoy playing tennis, and hiking/backpacking, but I haven't had too many chances to do any of that recently. I love chicken, Chinese food and genuine ramen, but cannot stomach any kind of seafood (which means that yes, I don't like the vast majority of Japanese food >.<). I collect manga artbooks, general merchandise from my favorite series/games (which include Evangelion, Saiyuki and FF8), and anything Pikachu. x3
Oooh, an artist. <3 I'll bring my Irvine and Squall costumes since I now know that you like Final Fantasy VIII so much. It's going to be fun staying with you for a night... and I find myself hoping that we'll have more time to hang out, as well. ^^ I'd love to talk to you on the phone.
QUOTE: It's a bit long, but a good enough introduction, I think. ^^
Your introduction was only as long as mine... but then again, perhaps mine was long as well. *grin*

Hello. I am a forum lurker ^.^ I usually go by the name Ren at cons. Anime-wise, I'm a bit of a CLAMP whore, but I like anything that has a decent plot (and, perhaps, an indecent plot). And I have a thing for catboys. I've been cosplaying for...oh gods, seven years, and make my own costumes. I've received a technical merit award for a pair of wings I made for Yue cosplay (from CCS).
Otherwise...let's see...I hold a bachelor's degree in biology, and I'm a certified broadcaster. I speak three languages and I can get by in a couple more. I've been a salesperson, a computer hardware technician, and a teacher. I have sufficient training to be a professional singer and actor, and I'm also an accomplished bellydancer. Yes, a male bellydancer. Turkish cabaret style, if you were wondering. Despite all this, I'm pretty shy and have trouble making friends. In fact, most of the awesome friends I made at Yaoi-Con spoke to me first.
I live in Canada, in the Toronto area, so it's a bit of a trip for me to get to Yaoi-Con, but totally worth it both times I've been ('04 and '05).

Ren failed to mention that he's hot AND has a sexy voice... both in person, and over the phone. He should consider an illustrious career as a phone sex operator. Actually, I should too... but that's neither here nor there. *grin*

Hello ^^
I'm Fiouri.
I've been to Yaoi-Con two times.
I'm an artist and I love to make doujinshi. I also like to make comics an' stuff.
I'm pretty shy and quiet, but when Im at conventions, I tend to open up a little and become sort of a 'people person'.
I've only been to Yaoi-con and Anime-Expo.
I love to cosplay. So far I've cosplayed as Bridget from Guilty Gear, Simon Belmont from Castlevania and Haku from Naruto.
I plan on Cosplaying as Bruno Bucciarati from Jojo no kimiyouna Bouken and Bridget again (but a different color) for Yaoi-con this year.
I may squeeze in anothor costume if I have time to sew something extra. I was thinking maybe I-no or an original design ^^;
Im looking forward to meeting everyone again and having a really fun time this year! ^____^<3

Whoa, awesome~! I look forward to meeting you. Castlevania rocks my world. I actually went out and bought the Japanese import version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for PlayStation recently, despite that I've totally pwned the crap out of the US version.
(Way over 210.1%, one of every single item, all familiars maxed, perfect level ups, maxed out Richter game, etc.) I played that game for literally HUNDREDS of hours. I don't think I even played Final Fantasy IV and VI that much, and those (and Chrono Trigger) are my favorites of all time.
So, yeah... I like Castlevania. Feel free to let me know if you need any souls from Aria of Sorrow; I probably have plenty of extra of any you might need. Just ask me in advance... then bring a link cable, and I'll make all of your soul dreams come true for less than phr33.
