Well, various parts of my past have basically required me to keep a sharp eye to the industry, it's been 7 years now. From modding fservs to modding forums with industry present, I've... well, had to know. And my like of yaoi makes it easier to remember, although I still suck at trying to keep all the manga straight anymore...

I have the manga but book 11 ends in mid story and i was pissed.there was no ending.I emailed viz and was suprised to actually get a reply,they said that there purchasing dept will be getting book 12 in a cpple of months.
yay! cant wat

Assuming there is a book 12, of course. There never was one in Japanese, just a couple of serialized chapters afterwards, because Matsushita had to go on a long hiatus for personal reasons. But I hear she's been working on it again recently, has put out a story about Tatsumi and one about Ukyo (haven't seen the latter), and her art style has really changed, though I wouldn't say unpleasantly. Maybe those side stories were what the Viz people meant.
Here's hoping she'll at least finish the Gensoukai arc, though. A couple months, I would be surprised, but if that's true it's awesome.

i absolutely LOVED yami no matsuei!! the anime is just as good as the manga, shame it cuts out so much. and yes apparently matsushita is going to make a story about Muraki's mysterious lover, Ukyou, and hopefully one about Muraki himself!  here's hoping.

Definitely one of the best anime/manga on my list! I also RP Muraki, Hisoka, Watari, and Hijiri.

Yami No Matsuei was the first anime I saw at a con (Which happened to be the first Yaoicon* that I HAD to see more of. I believe it was like 2am or something when it was being shown, and my friend dragged me too it going, "You have to see this." Mmmmm tasty Muraki. Liked it so much, I spent a month or two DLing it (On Dial up), and then I got the box set as a birthday gift. Now I'm collecting the Manga...Uhhh, I can't recall if I had a point to this. Yami No Matsuei is gooooooood, yeah, that's the point.
