And, not to be mean, but it shows how shallow of a person you are, to say you don't like male because they are ugly, even though I doubt you've seen any/most of the males here. Comments that insult other Yaoi-con attendees are uncalled for an unwanted. There's never a need to insult someone like this in a forum. I'm all for freedom to say what you want to... as long as there's really a purpose.

I like some Yuri couplings too, but as this is Yaoi-con, generally it's Yaoi-fans that are here, male and female alike. You might want to be aware of that when you post, so you don't alienate yourself from the community.

I don't mean for this to be taken wrong, so no offense meant to anyone, but why would a lesbian want to attend yaoi-con??

I mean the focus is on yaoi (guys with guys) and all the girls (and guys) there are there to look at yaoi (males with males) art, expression, and entertainment. The focus is not on the female form. Isn't there a "Yuri Con" that Evaligan would enjoy far more? A place where the girls are there to look at lesbian art and each other...

Hard subject to touch, really. I don't personally think that I have some defintiive standard of beauty or sex by which to judge others. Furthermore, my own 'ugliness' is subject to heavy opinion and, still further, people neve know whose 'ugly' they fit.

In short: Get along. This is a thread for Male fans of Yaoi to network with and if you are not one and feel that we are bad for your con then please, by all means, make a thread about it in the off-topic section.

I am Lin, AKA Goth Kitti, and this coming year will be my third run at the Bishounen auction as well as my final. In all fairness, Big_Mac, I know a few lesbians who would love to come to YCon if they could afford it - not necessarily for the yaoi (though they do appreciate it and enjoy it, even if they don't 'get off' on it), but to be surrounded by people equally as open-minded as them. I know that's my major reason for going - I could sit at home reading porn and ogling pics of pretty boys on the net very easily; I fly out there to be around the people~! (And to whore out my Englishness, but that's irrelevant :wink: )

As Gothkitti said, it's much nicer when we all get along - so c'mon boys, be nithe!
