Confirmation Letters 2 Years, 1 Month ago
|
|
|
...Is it absolutely necessary to have them to pick up pre-reg badges? I know what ID I regged with, and will have that, but I recently moved to BC to go to uni, and realized literally yesterday that the confirmation letter was at home, on the east coast US. I'm having it mailed to me, but mail between the US and Canada can take up to a couple of weeks (gah, Canada Post), so I'm not sure if it'll be here in time.
This is going to be my first Y-con, and I'd really like not to be totally screwed over by something so stupid.

It's not required, but suggested. I mean, I know people who have just checked in pre-reg with state ID or passport alone.

Phew, good to know. I know most cons are like that; you pre-reg and you get a confirmation number that they never actually ask for. Was afraid Y-con might be different because of the age thing, though.

You don't need the confirmation letter to pick up your badge. It's a receipt. If we have any trouble finding your badge or if we say you didn't register, you whip that letter out and smack us with it because it's your proof of purchase I've doubled checked you in our database and you're fully registered.
Thanks!

I have never recieved my pre-reg letter, but I know my check cleared and I have my recipt for my membership (purchased at Anime Expo). Will that recipt, along with my CA driver license, be enough?
