Yaoi-Con 2008 | A Celebration of Male Beauty & Passion in Anime & Manga

As the title states, my good friend Ace and I are looking for two other people to quadruple with. Though we have yet to make reservations (I will actually be doing so tonight), we are planning to stay at the Westin from the 19th to the 22nd.

We're both non-smokers, so we would like non-smoking roommates if possible. Female roomies are preferable, but argue your case well for me and I'll consider males. ;3 Age isn't a concern (as everyone is at least 18 anyway), but we will both be 19 at the time of the convention, so you'll have to be willing to put up with a couple of youngins. I guess we would like to stay with people closer to our own age, but we're not going to be picky.

As for ourselves, as I already said, we will both be 19 years of age. I'm a heterosexual female (though sometimes you can't tell by my behavior) and my companion is a completely homosexual male. Point is: if you're a girl, you're safe; if you're a guy, well... >D I'm just joking around. We are both polite and won't get in your way, hog the blankets, eat all the snacks or leave the room a mess. We're coming down from the Seattle area, which isn't horribly important, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

We can be quite flexible in our plans. If you only need to stay one or two of the nights we're there, that's fine. If you need to stay an extra night after us, we can extend the reservation. We're willing to go with a triple if we can only find one roommate (though it will just be more expensive for everyone). To give you a general idea of the cost, if four people were to share the room for three nights, the total fee for each person would be about $112 (this number does NOT include tax or any other fees, such as a deposit). So, be prepared to pay $112+ to stay with us at the convention.

Hello! I'd like to volunteer as a roommate. I'm always looking for people to stay with at y-con since everyone I know who loves yaoi that lives near me always finds some damn excuse NOT to come. Blehg. .
Anyway, I'm female, nonsmoker and I'll be 21 by con time. . so, that's not to far in age from 19.

I was wondering if the pricing would be different to just stay 2 nights (Friday & Saturday). I'd go for Thurs. too, cept I'll probably have classes. (will be 19 by the con & female).

From how I personally interpreted Mina (MissCitrus) in her first post, she's looking for someone who wishes to stay during the same nights that she will be... as you probably would be doing in her place, since only splitting the cost on some of the nights isn't as desirable. If you could find someone else that Mina liked who could stay in the room during the nights you weren't, that would probably work.... and I'm sure that she'd consider you if she couldn't find anyone willing to stay during the same nights as she is.

Mina, please correct me if I am mistaken... but I can't really see this being interpreted any other way.

I'd love to volunteer as a roomie. Although, I don't know how long I will be able to stay since it's still so early. Plus, I only decided to go in the past few days. I've never been to a con and I figure, dammit, Ima go to this one! I'm saving now. Plus, I gotta see how much time I can request off from work since I request everyday for Comic Con off. My first convention is July! It's so far! And then I gotta wait til October too? Damn!
