Yaoi-Con 2008 | A Celebration of Male Beauty & Passion in Anime & Manga

This section seems to be a neglected part of the forum so I will try to liven it up a bit (with barely 2 users coming online each day that may be hard). Yaoi didn't actually start for me in anime, it started in.....what else the final fantasy series. In fact my first yaoi fics were about FF7.

And yes... :oops: I have read lemons. I can't really say I had fantasies about the nintendo or snes era games. I mean an 8 bit link and ganon finding love together? lol I guess my first infatuation came with Cloud. His character was a lot like me...I really related to him in FF7..minus the mako poisoning/Jenova cells. My infatuation kinda went further when I started imagining him in ...well out of character scenarios. The world of fanfics allowed me to make him do whatever I wanted him to do. Thus my admiration for the beauty of yaoi was born. Of course just like most animes the FF series does have yaoi overtures. (Like Cloud dressing up like a girl and getting in a hottub with several body builders).

In a way games like final fantasy felt a step above anime because you were watching anime..but you were part of it and taking it at your own pace. I don't know who my favorite gaming pair is, but I would like to hear from others what their's are. Or how you feel about games and yaoi in general.

I'm obsessed with SeiferxSquall, and SeiferxZell and maybe a lil bit of IrvinexSquall ...hell I love FF8 xD

Actually I believe SeiferxSquall was one of my first OTP's... Tho I'm sure I had others before that, because I was pairing guys left and right even before I knew what yaoi was... lol

I favor SephirothxCloud and maybe KadajxCloud. For me, games and yaoi are pretty much the same as anime and yaoi. Just because it's a game doesn't mean that yaoi doesn't apply somewhere or another.

yaoi applies everywhere as long as there are two guys involved (for me anyway... xD

I'll be walking down the street and I'll see two guys walking together etc, I'd say stuff like "Oh theyre obviously having sex" xD or "Those two would look hot together..." I say stuff like that in movie theaters and people look at me funny...

I still don't see why guys can find lesbians hot but girls finding gay guys (or bi for that matter ^^) hot is just "inconcievable"

RinoaxSelphie I just can't see... Probably cuz i cant STAND Rinoa...xD sry...
My fav yuri pairings are QuistisxFujin (crack I know xD), any Mai HiMe pairings, I have lots of other favs, but for some reason I can't seem to be able to think of any... xD
