narrow a pupil as possible.

If anyone's still looking for mako eyes, there are a couple of good options on www.pimpindeals.com. Click their 'Crazy Eyes' link and check out the 3 pages of options. It's not as realistic as custom lenses would be, but their cat eyes look pretty good anyway and they have them in lots of colors including 'aqua', which is hard to find. There are also some mirror ones that look SO cool. They do non-corrective lenses only, unfortunately.

They're a British company and they ship worldwide, so if anyone has had difficulties with US companies requiring a prescription you can order from this site without one, no problems.

Best of all? Cheap. Not dirt cheap, which is probably good for something you're going to jam in your eye, but under a hundred bucks American, even with the current sucky exchange rate. Much cheaper than most custom lenses. You could use the money you save on food at the con--imagine, real nutrition!

These are dirt cheap, and while they aren't quite the right color and they don't have the cat eye pupil, I find that they give the right effect. If you don't get the really expensive custom cat eye contacts they tend to rotate and then they just look silly. Better to go simple, but effective. These are also great because they will turn the darkest of eyes into OMG GREEN.

R3tt3, I really loved the site link you posted up - it was refreshing to see new types of lenses that you can wear for cosplay. I will bear this site in mind if I want to play certain charries in a cosplay event this year or the next.

I am so very glad I checked this post! I've been having some issues with my costume for next year. I'm going as Iason from Ai no Kusabi and the hair's been bugging me. Damn, so many websites have okay wigs, but wow, are they expensive! Thanks for posting all those links. Yep.

And the thing about the mako eyes sucks. I mean, of course they'd be too thin. Hehe.
