As for crossplay, I don't see any problem with it. I might even do it one day, myself... but I've never really felt compelled to dress up as a female.

I am new to cosplay and crossplay. Well not so much cross play if only because i have my own personal things here at home. But what is needed to crossplay a male to female? Would it just be better to femme up a character some or just go for broke and buy everything needed to become a female version of the char. Thanks all.

Typically, a crossplay is done by a cosplayer of one sex cosplaying as a character of the opposite sex. The 'femming up' of a character is something that can be done from multiple stances or reasons:

Here are those reasons from male point of view:

1: If you are female, and wanting to have fun with a character.

2: (My reason) If you are male, and want to give an interesting twist on an also male character.

More traditional crossplay is perhaps easier to explain, and has a spectrum from those who would simply portray the opposite sexed character to those who would really desire to put on a heck of an interesting show.

I am, of course, in any respect, the latter.
