Just to get it stated in advance, you may be better off just paying on the day; that's what my friends are doing (I get in for free because of the volunteer hours I racked up last year). I believe it's $10 more expensive for the whole weekend (about £5), but for one, it ensures the payment will get cleared in time (since a UK cheque will take 6-8 weeks to clear, on top of the time taken for it to arrive...). I believe it's been said in the past that they accept travellers' cheques; if so, one of those sent in the packet should be fine, and won't take an eternity and a day to clear.

And for those of you gawking at that 6-8 week time; it's true. Our banks fail epically where international transfers/cheques are concerned (though they fail epically in general anyway - takes 3-4 days for the funds from a cheque to be put into your account! I'm told it's instant/one day in the US...)
