That helps, but is not the be-all end-all in and of itself. Ultimately, our job is to entertain the other con-goers, so if you're up to that job, then it's a large part of the requirement fulfilled. Yes, obviously it's desired that the boys are attractive, but the thing to remember is that tastes vary - I know several girls who prefer "bigger boys," so I wouldn't consider that an absolute obstruction to it. As you admit yourself, lots of people wondered if you were a bishie, so you obviously fit the bill to a degree!
I say go for it if you're interested, and see what comes of it. Nothing to lose, right?
