Yaoi-Con is less than two months away, but the final date for pre-registration is August 22 -- less than a month! You'll pay only $50 if you pre-register, compared to $60 at the door. That $10 could get you a whole manga in the Dealer's Room, so be sure to register at the Yaoi-Con Web site before August 22!

CALLING ALL DOUJINSHIKA: COMIKET OR BUST!
Japan's biggest fan comic market is interested in seeing YOUR doujinshi! If you submit a copy of your own doujinshi -- yaoi or not -- by August 10, the Yaoi-Con organizers will take it for display in the International Corner of Comiket 74 (August 15-17)! Just remember to keep it somewhat tame: doujinshi that are too sexually explicit might not pass Comiket's censors. Check the link below for the mailing address to send your doujinshi. QUIET ON THE SET! DEADLINE FOR AMV DIRECTORS APPROACHING!
Your dream of directing your own yaoi music video is about to come true -- just create your masterpiece and enter Yaoi-Con's Anime Music Video Contest! This year's theme is "The Dominator and the Dominated," and the deadlines for submission are fast approaching. Online submissions must be sent by August 14, while mailed CDs, DVDs, VHS or VCDs must be postmarked by August 24 and received by August 30. See

COSPLAYERS: MAKE PLANS TO REGISTER FOR COSPLAY CONTEST AT THE CON!
This year there will be no online registration for the annual Cosplay Contest at Yaoi-Con. All participants must register for the contest on-site at the Yaoi-Con Information/Volunteer booth the morning of Saturday, September 27. Only 20 entries will be accepted into the contest so the later con events can stay on track, so be sure to make plans to register in person! Details are subject to change, so watch the Web site just in case.

YAOI-CON'S MAIN EVENTS: GET YOUR TICKETS!
All of Yaoi-Con's main events -- the Cosplay Contest, AMV Contest and Bishounen Auction -- will be ticketed again this year. That means you must pick up a numbered ticket before the show, and be seated along with your numbered group (if you've ever flown Southwest Airlines, it's like their seating procedures). If you want to ensure a seat with your friends, make plans to pick up your tickets together to ensure you'll have seats near each other! The main events are always more fun with friends, so make your plans in advance! More details will be available online soon!

Yaoi-Con's yearly Art Show always draws lots of interested eyes -- and lots of interested bids! The Art Show is your chance to showcase and/or sell your yaoi and bishounen artwork to your adoring public.
