I think you mean 3:50-3:55. The Art Auction did start late, at about 3:30 PM because the free raffle was going on just outside in the Convene lobby area. I was trying to watch both at the same time. The Auction was neat, but I think it would have helped if the emcee would have stated whether credit cards were accepted during the auction itself for any latecomers. I realize she was trying to go a little fast, because of the time. I asked some of the people watching by the doors but they didn't know for sure. I'd have bid on a few items if I knew for sure...
I can say with absolute certainty that the Art Auction and Charity Auction were separate and within the time listed in the schedule. The Art Auction started about 2:15-2:20 on Sunday after Kelda finished gathering up all the eligible pieces and the staff picks to be auctioned off.
It seems like there was a lot of confusion this year for some reason, and a lot of people mistook the Charity Auction for the Art Auction. We finished selling all the pieces right around 3 for the Art Auction, and the Charity Auction was setting up after us.
As the Auctioneer for Art Auction, I was there until the last art piece was sold, but after that, I had to leave to help with another event and I didn't have a chance to stay to see the Charity Auction. But it did definitely start after the Art Auction had finished.
